Top 8 Search Engine Optimization Mistakes

We often see some bloggers or webmasters are failed i.e. they couldn’t acquire what they want. From them some might be understood that they made basic SEO mistakes. You worked hard, gave lots of hours and ignored your job for earning money but due to various mistakes you failed. In this article I discussed some critical SEO mistakes.

Not Having A Title Tag: it is the title of your blog which is also being displayed on the top of the user’s browser. You need a title for your blog because visitors come to your site through that title. It is also a factor of search engine ranking. In order to avoid this mistake, never forget to create a title tag and you must include your main keyword in this title.

Not Using Descriptive Anchor Text In The Links: have you noticed in the article that to know the rest of the information just click here where the link is anchored into click here? This is very bad practice because Google counts the anchor with associate your text to where you are linking to. It also hurts visitors that they couldn't determine what this link is for and as a result sometimes they ignore your potential links. Use three or four keywords which explain your website best to where you are linking and put it where there are some keywords like your anchor text in the article.

Having a Duplicate Content: last time I have seen the same article in different website. Google considers it badly because webmaster might be doing it for more sales or conversions but search engines sometimes confuse which website it takes. Do not put the same article in your website many times or other websites.

Manipulating Search Engines: have you heard this term?  These are the SEO techniques by which some webmasters or bloggers use to increase their profit but which are not actually legal for human being.

How to  manipulate search engines:

Using keyword in an article over and over
Using hidden texts
Over optimization of anchor text
Using  excessive back links
Redirecting other web pages from one page
You must avoid this unless search engines punish your website by reducing rank.

Not Using H1, H2 and H3 Tags: search engines don’t read the whole article to the index. It uses H1, H2 and H3 tags to understand the content where it gives high priority the keywords which inside these tags.

Not Using Different Title Tag: if you use the same title for many articles, Google may not index or take your site in its search result. Many webmasters make this mistake. Google strongly recommends using unique, descriptive, and related title tag for each article.

Using Deep Site Architecture: it means using many folders for one topic and it shows how you organize your content. Having a deep architecture is a problem for search engines that they cannot indexing or crawling your website. So use different folders for different category and do not use too many folders.

Not Updating Blog: you have to write content frequently for your blog, because the more frequently update post, the more Google bot crawl your blog. Try to publish at least one post per day and carry this consistency.

These are some basic search engine optimization mistakes I have ever seen and there are lots of mistakes webmasters are doing. So you should always try to keep away from these and optimize your site legally. If you properly optimize your site than give some time to search engines for indexing and crawling and see the result otherwise search engines will penalize your website.
